Most places have central heating. They use hot water baseboard heat. Central A/C is more rare. We only need it a couple weeks a year.

it is expensive. i'm gonna end up spending $4,500 to replace mine, and thats with a huge hookup. otherwise, i could easily look at twice that amount.

i see. so yall have window units instead. a lot of older houses here have window units.

 

A lot of places don't have A/C at all. I have a window unit and a portable one.

 

the girls in the cube next to mine are talking about how one of their guys is extremely fat, like 425lbs. they're fat too though.

 

i can't imagine that. energy bills must be so low for yall during the nonwinter months.

 

 

i'm glad i'm not fat. i'm not in as much shape as i'd like but at least i don't have to struggle with an eating disorder, nor do i have to starve myself severely. that just seems like it would be really hard to deal with.

at the same time though, many of them bring it on themselves. not all, but many. more and more people are getting fatter and fatter because they're lazy and eat too much junk. then they blame it on their genes and take the easy route through surgery.
