Here is the deal the 04 GSXR 750 is probably the best bike you will ever ride but def not one to learn on SUZUKI just gave me a couple and said beat the crap outta them so I have been. The subframes are a bit weak but easily fixed just run a steel bracket from the rear footpeg bracket down to the front peg bracket(Home Depot) 5 bucks put a cage on it and a bar smash the tank and put a stuntex.com oil pickup and you have the best stuntbike to date

Re: 2004/5 GSX-R750 advice
Why all the gixxer hatin goin on. My bike had 3 serious wrecks when i was learning to go slow. I had a 905 cage and the only things i broke was the upper fairing stay and a left clip on. Maybe I am a lucky one but my bike held up great, original motor, clutch pretty much everything 15k of abuse :YEAH . I will be getting a brand new 750 for this coming season. Oh and I am pretty sure the 00-03 models are exactly the same except the 00 had trans problems.

'00-'03 750 are the same
the new stuff is '04+ 600, '04+ 750, '03+ 1000
SRAD's are 97-00 600, 96-99 750
SRAD does stand for Suzuki Ram Air Direct....in 96 they indtroduced GSXR's that used air ducts from the front to "force" air into the intake
An 00-03 GSXR with gearing, cage, oil pickup, subframe supports, and upper stay "cage" makes for a very strong and reliable stunt bike! :YEAH

there are better versions out there but here's mine:
this helps save your upper, brake res, good for feet-over stuff, etc.
the oil pickup is available from stuntex.com and works great all the time...just makes the bike pickup oil from the rear of the oil pan instead of from the front

Had any problems with breaking the fairing mounts off of the frame? Seems like it would put a lot of stress on this area.
