best tires for endos
ever since i got my f4i, my front tire has locked up randomly while practicing endos. i used to have a metzeler m1 and switched to a race tire(a slick). alot of people told me that the slick would not work good cuz it needs to be up to temp. and they were right, it locks up more than my street tire did. i'm getting frustrated and this whole "lockin up" thing is really holdin me back.
i've talked to willie ray from stuntkingz.com(who is insane on endos and used to have the same problem) and he said to run the softest compound tire i can find, so i'm just wondering what tire is the best for em. he ran a pirelli something. if anyone has any specific advice, feel free.
i've also been told that inverted forks will help(like either getting a 954 or 929 front end). any advice will be greatly appreciated.
please don't respond if you are not good on endos.

Re: best tires for endos
Mine used to lock up sometimes on the f4i when i had the stock battle axe on it.
I have a dunlop 207 (the older one) not the 208 find them in dealer piles.
I know alot of ppl that run the pirelli take offs too though with no problems.
Just warm it up a little bit and compress the forks and get up on the tank a little.

I've been runnin a pirelli dragon supercorsa race takeoff the last month or so, never have a problem with hookin up no matter what speed, but I do have a problem with a little tank slappin when I bring it up to balance at higher speeds like over 60, not 100% sure if it's the tire or a little air in my damper...I've heard someone else say the same thing about race takeoffs, so I dunno, about to go back to the Metzler M1, always a good choice.

I run the M1 and they seem to be good.....until the temp outside drops below 55 or so. I run about 23 or so lbs. of air pressure and up until recently when the temps dropped ( I'm in Maine ) I didn't have any problem with skidding. I'm coming in at the top of 3rd and rolling well over 400ft. Another guy that rides with us ( Joe ) has the race version and hit 800ft. in Epping Nh on a drag strip.

Race tires stick better than ANY street compound tire.
They heat up faster and work at any chozen operating temp, better than any street skin.
Pirelli comes to temp faster than any other race tire. Pirelli SC-1's (Blues) are the stickies tire PERIOD (unless you are using tire warmers)!
Best grip for stoppies...Pirelli Blue
Best grip for backroads...Pirelli Blue/Green combo
I personally ONLY trust Pirelli racetack offs for Race events, backroad Brawling, or even doing stoppies.
They Fukcin' STICK!
