Been Riding My Gsxr...

Are The Brakes On All The 900 Rr S Got Shitty Feel And Hardly Grab ?


Im Thinking They R All Pretty Bad...after I Rode 3 Other Rrs The Same Day With All Shitty Feel To The Brakes.

Wtf ?

Im Thinking Braided Brake Lines New Fluid And Pads ...it Will Definatly Make A Change ...

Anybody Else Think They R ****.....

What Did You Do To Make Em Better ?

 

replace rotor, new Honda OEM pads, change fluids. If you're gonna be in a lot, 90% of you game will involve the back brake, treat yourself to something good. Crap rears sux.

 

I'm in the same boat, Just got an RR and the damn thing is horrible. Gonna try some pads and fluid change. You shouldn't need lines!

 

Just how 900 rear brakes are. Every one I have ridden has been like that. Way less bite and feel than the gixxer your used to. Seems like you really have to stand on it when your way back.

 

My boyz 900RR rear brakes are bad ***....Try stock Honda pads, they are the best by far.

 

Honda OEM pads are $$ but worth it! Those EBC suck, they take WAY to long to heat up and then fade out after a short period. Learned my lesson.

 

whats everyone think about running a wave rotor??? worth the money? I am also having the same problem with the 900 compared to gsxr braking.

Im Thinking It Has Alot To Do With The Caliper They Have Used On The Rr Also...

Im Sure All The Upgrades In Pads N Fluid Make It Better.....
But.......

Im Sure It Proably Wont Be The Same Crazy Grab Power That The Gsxr Has ...
Anybody Ever Upgrade The Caliper ?

Or Does Anybody Know What Size Piston Is In There Compared To The Gsxr ?

The fix for feel with any type of pads. Go cast iron, we ave em here round $140.00. Rust looks like **** but they stik like ****.

 

definitely go with the braided brake lines, that'll help things out a lot. made a big difference on mine

 

You just can't compare gsxr 1000 brakes to a 900 rr brakes. That's like comparing dvd to beta.

Bled The Brakes And Scuffed The Rotors Lightly With A Sanding Block..

Then Cleaned Everything With Brake Cleaner....

I Think I Might Be A Lil Better But Still Nothing To Brag About...

Gonna Order The Braided Lines And Some New Oem Pads.

 

check were the foot peg slides into the brake lever for wear and debris

 

IT MOVES UP N DOWN FREELY BUT DOESNT SEEM TO HAVE MUCH BRAKING POWER OR FEEL..
