this is jason-owner of THOMPSONS DISTRIBUTING-i would like to warn all fellow riders about the zx10r-i purchased the 2004 zx10r 4 months ago.3 weeks after purchase the frame cracked-they took it in and replaced the frame also doing the front wheel recall at the same time.i was involved in a accident on the 29th.a truck ran a red light and i hit him in the side.the frame easily broke into 2 COMPLETELY SEPARATE pieces,unlike anything i have ever seen,even when you talk stunt bikes.these zx10r frames are weak and dangerous.especially on the right side where it comes over the engine.they are dangerous,i will never own another kawasaki and i have riden kawasaki my whole life.remember the zx10r is a poor stunt bike!!!!if you have one take it back before you get hurt on it!!

what exactly is the front wheel recall about, ive heard it talked about but it was never specified

 

According to SportRider, the front wheel recall is due to the possibility of microscopic cracks in the wheel. Not good.

 

now that i know this i wont even ride next to one of those bitches!

 

those things are CRAZY-get one-fishplate the fu(k outa the frame-LOL

 

My boy beats the hell outta his daily by himself and doin 2up **** and has never had a problem with it

i have a 98 zx6 and i snapped the frame on each side... when the left side broke i had it welded and then it broke over the weld then the right side broke bad.... i guess kawi's has shitty frames.... i got another frame off ebay and it seems to hold up real well... i mean im 260 and i do highchairs and **** and the fame is holding up... only had it a few months.... other then that no problems with it....

 

THE RECALLED WHEELS ARE DUE TO AIR BUBBLES IN THE CASTING. THERE HAS ONLY BEEN 3 CASES WHERE THE RIM WAS ACTUALLY DEFECTIVE (ACCORDING TO KAWASAKI). GARBAGE

 

My buddy bought his brand new hasnt had a problem. He loves. I also ride kawasaki and have no complaints.

Well I ran into a truck at 175mph and my frame broke too on my 636. It must be junk!

 

Then this one time on my 2001 ZX6R I was riding in oncoming traffic and hit a greyhound bus head on and the wheel bent. What a piece of ****!!

 

a buddy of mine just bought one,in less than 400 miles the lower case on the engine split and started leaking oil and water,he never broke the break in limit,kawasaki has shipped a new engine for him and did the tire at the same time

**** I had an 01 gixxer 750/ stunted it and ended up with 13 cracks, the worst separating the neck 1/2 and inch, and breaking the right frame spar completely in two

the kawi partnered with suzuki so thats why there lighter and weaker, besides these bikes arent made for this type of punishment. they are made for racing, but I wish someone would build one strictly set up for how we ride. wait til this sport blows up and has corporate funding....... then they will jump on the wagon
