I was just wondering if I was the only freekishly tall (wana-be) stunter on here. I come in at 6 foot 9 inches...and yes, I used to play basketball.

Anyway, I'm just wanting to hear some stories from other big guys on little bikes. I have tried alot of things, and am still a long way from being great. The thing that is bothering me right now is a basic stand-up. I know that sounds stupid, but I can't figure it out due to the messed up position I have to start in. I got one decient one tonight, but I was kinda squated a little (but still standing).

Any tips, words of incouragement?

I also broke the 80mph wall with my stoppies (85). I have been rolling them pretty well, but until tonight I hadn't tried any faster than 75...it felt pretty good, but I REALLY need a damper.

 

i think jt holt is like 6' 6" or 7".

 

Just got my bike this year and started stunting about a month ago but im 6'6"-6'7" and I DO, i repeat I DO plan on clearing the expressway with some sick spreaders taking up 3 lanes hahahahaha

 

hey can you ride in the hi chair position? i always wished i had some long *** legs to reach my foot down and change gears real quick, can you do that?

im right at 6' 5" and stand up's are a lil on the harder side for me so im sure you boys have a bitchin time with it. keep it up

 

When I'm in high chair position my feet are almost resting on the fender I can't swing down and shift while in high chair, but I can reach down with my hand pretty easily :D I still haven't gotten the bike to come all the way up with me on the tank. I can almost see the tears running from the headlights when I try...I'm about 245 so I think I'm gonna need a bigger sprocket for that.

It's good to see there are several of us that are 6'5" and up.

BTW, if I hear one more joke about me making my R1 look like a pocket bike someone is going to get stepped on.

 

I'm 6'5", 200, only thing that it really makes harder is combos, where you are climbing around on the bike alot. Normal stuff isn't too big of a deal once you get used to it.

One hint I can give you for standups is to move your rear peg back about 6" or so. You can straighten your leg out more and take some more weight off your arms.

And yes, long leg spreaders are the ****!

i'm 6'5" and i know scott at stunters.com has got me by an inch or so. colbert is around 6'5" also i think. nags was in the wizard of oz as one of the lollipop kids .

im around 7' 2" and had problems with standups - just lift it up in crouched position and as the bike goes higher streighten up.

P.S. The bike in my avatar is 636, and guy riding it is me - so you do the measuring...

Bruno, did you mean to say 6'7"? The pic doesn't really make you look 7'.

I never realized there were that many tall stunters out there. I guess it's just hard to tell on some of the vids I see.

Kyle, I've got about 50lbs on you, and that weight makes a big difference with tank stuff. I am working on it though so maybe some day I'll be taking out joggers from the left lane :D Nice pic btw.

I don't think Darius has the same problems as we do. Hell, I'd just be happy to fit comfortably behind the wheel of that Z of his. My height really limits my recreation, as I'm sure most of you guys can understand.
