Re: **new tires+slow **** = ******

LOL Nah man. That's gonna happen regardless. It's because your tire is brand new. The tire is real oval and hasn't got any wear and tear on it yet. Your old tire more than likely had a flat spot on it .(makes slow sh*t way easier)
I just put a brand new 208 on my sh*t 3 weeks ago. I had the same thing happen to me. Put a good amount of miles on the tire or go do some donuts. That helped me

Re: **new tires+slow **** = ******

fvck that u dont need to do burnouts on the new tire. u can rock 12's with a new tire just as easily as a old one. the only thing is psi. drop it.

That's the first thing i did when i ran into this problem. It helped a little. But it still was the tire. After i put very little wear on the whole tire, it was fine.

Re: **new tires+slow **** = ******

Imma bout to school all you cats... dammit.

208 = crap. Big curve, oval as a ****. Same with M1's or Race Take-offs.

Pilot Sports = holla', good stuff. Same with Sportec's. New or old.

New tire = blah.. I almost hit a parked car once on a new 208 with 32lbs!

Old *** tire with threads showing = :YEAH

Hey Sammy, stop with the squid advice..

maybe, its the ones that look like Pilot sports. They are good. The ones with no grooves on the side, really sticky, and $$, blow ****.

I dont pay attention to tires anymore.

Re: **new tires+slow **** = ******

haha, shut up.

ight, its Metzler Sportec M-1. I like those. Good tire.

Metzler Rennsport Race tire sucks. To much of a curve, made for diving into corners. Dunlop D208ZR's are also another tire I dislike. Again, when its new it can cause you to swerve (fast/slow). Pilot Sports by Michelin, love those. Kinda soft and wear out fast though. Pirelli's? Never tried one that I can remember. Bridgestone Battlax, ight, get some everynow and then from a local shop, not preffered however.

Gettin' all technical dammit..

** edit, I also fail to mention I usually dont run my tire real low, i.e. 8-15psi. (rims bent) I can rock anytire really, but some are preffered over others.

Hey Kingtuts, you rock slow sh*t? If not then you have no idea what you are talking about. Of course if you still doing squid wheelies blazing to rev limiter, then there wouldn't be a difference in what tire you get.

If you are doing slow sh*t, then go buy a brand new dunlop 208 and go try doing some slow rolls with 11psi. There ain't no way you gonna get that thing perfectly straight! Once you realize that your wheelies are garbage, then try lowering the psi. And see if that works? It ain't.

Go try that and see if im lying.

Re: **new tires+slow **** = ******

A. New tires that havent been heat cycled dont grip as well yet, and are less pliable than used tires. Even with low pressure, they dont react as well. Doing donuts on them will certainly help, but be sure to heat up the edges of the tires well.

Ps. Dunlops are less preferred for slow straight wheelies.
