Re: Anyone lost there skills?

it happened yester day i cant roll stoppies for nothing i just got done replacing my fork seals on my gixer1k and some hh brake pads i think thats what they were and i dont know if its me or what at first they were real bad then i turned the adjustment out 8 clicks and i got my height back but im just not rolling them verry far when we tightened up the tripple trees we let everything just hang, so i think i might go back to the stock pads, but first i guess ill just give it a lil time to get used too. anyone else got some thoughts on this?

Re: Anyone lost there skills?

for me its been a bad summer for every good day i have like 10 bad ''sucks '' but i have a had a lot of personal **** to deal with this year and i think that might have something to do with my riding b/c there allways something on my mind but then againg maybe i lost my edge, but the love for doing it is still there and its all i think about ,but then come time to ride its a diff story its like im worred about crashing or its like the bike feels like it wont do what i want it to do ,the worst part is some of the tricks i use to pull off i cant even get then now days ..... so i thought i would ask if any one else had a bad year or anything like this happend to them so i know i am not looseing it

Re: Anyone lost there skills?

Try not riding for a yr b/c a tear in your ACL and refusing surgery.

I was cream of the crop back then, now cant even do no handers or circles

of course I havent stunted lately either... but have gotten back on the streets which I love.

Ill come back to stunting once I get a permanent spot again, or my stunt bike fixed.

take a week or two off, you might just be tired....believe it or not...

sometimes short breaks help because you stop doing errors you may have recently picked up.

Re: Anyone lost there skills?

sometimes you have to push yourself to learn something new, that helps create momentum. It seemed like for a while I was stuck at the same place, and then I learned something new....which in turn gave me the drive to learn a bunch of new things...sometimes you need that excitement or energy so you don't get stuck in a rut. Push yourself to do something new, but at the same time ride within your limits.

Yup, I'll Ride For Awhile And Get Back To Normal. Then I Won't Ride For Like A Month, So When I Get Back Out I Have To Start All Over Again.

you got steal graided lines? i had them and hated them. i love the hh pads. they do grab harder once they are hot though, i adjusted my brake lever so it doesnt grab so far off the bar. i think gsxr's have the same levers, numbered 1 to 5. i was on the farthest setting with stock pads(5). im on #2 with the double h's. leaves more room for error and they are not as touchy once your up at the balance point and are just skimming the pads.
