Yeah im with Jon....Your gixxer looks awesome all beat up like that....Some scratches look pretty cool I think and your Gix is hot man....Plus you'll be jumping into carbed then your slow **** will be limited cause of the 900RR....Im sure if you just keep practicing with it you'll get it....If ya want a Honda then find someone with a 954 or a 929 man....

I sold my fuel injected bike and got the 97' RR. The only thing you are really limited to is some bar tricks, but that should only be 5% of your stunting arsonal anyways. I have no regrets.

thats what im thinking.....

i have slow **** on lock....but its soo much easier on every other bike i ride....

i can do idle stuff now but its still hard trying to get to that perfect point and staying there....

and...it keeps stalling out cause i took the gearing off..

it was 10 up...

before that it was 10 up and 2 down.!

just sick to try and hold it there.

my bike isnt even half as good as it looks in these pics as far as im concerned...

i mean there all good pics.....and taken a day ago but .....it looks better than it look in person i guess.....maybe its from me seeing it everyday though... ??????

anyways.....

i just want to know what kind of bad things have you guys run into stunnin the 96 rr ?

im not looking for a mint bike.....
itll have a 905 cage /fi bar/ and a flat black paint job soon as i have it at my house...

best thing to do is ride the 96 see how it feels, get whichever bike you feel most comfortable on and then go about it that way.

Re: should i trade my gsxr 1000 for a 900rr ???

You'd be stupid to get rid of that 1K for a RR. there's no comparison between the two. The RR will only cause you more problems because carbs are NEVER better than fuel injection. I know guys that ride them and have nothing but problems with them, and they have serious skills.

if you have slow stuff on lock then you shouldn't have a problem with the gixxer. Trust me I'm 2 down 21 up, and it just takes getting used to. IMO never change your bike because you can't ride that one like you want, that just says something about your skills (not being rude, just my opinion).

If you want good advice don't get rid of your bike, you'll regret it later. Just keep practicing and it will get easier, not to mention you'll be able to ride anything once you master the 1K.

Yes, but I've ridden 929 with 20 up and that's basically the same. I promise it will pay off in the long run if you stay with the gixxer. You'll be making a step backwards for your game if you switch, trust me.
They have problems with fuel cutting out, running off of 3 cyclinders. I don't know anyone that hasn't gone through at least 3 motors on their RR. I had one also so I know from experience.
Frames crack just as bad on them, and subframes too, don't let people fool you. I wouldn't do it, but it's your decision

THE 929 IS SOMETHING AROUND 120 STOCK H.P.

THE GSXR 1000 IS STOCK 144 H.P !

24 HP IS A BIG DIFFERERENCE ....PLUS THE POWER ON MY GSXR IS WAY MORE INSTANT COMPARED TO THE 929 AND 954 THAT IVE RIDDEN AND STUNTED...
..
WHEN IT WAS GEARED ALL CRAZY ... -2 +10 .....I COULD DO WHEELIES IN 6TH GEAR ON THE FREEWAY !

I HATE MY GSXR !

If u r ***** and trying to make up excuses why u can't do smth, don't blame it on a bike.yes it is easy to some things on 600 or with dirt bike clipons.I think if u trying to make it easy u r a ***(no offence).Be a man suck it up and go do it on a big bike with no cheating. And u don't have to gear your bike as low as you would need to do it on 600 or 750.1down13up is more than enough.Than u r the MAN if u do that on a monster bike, other than doing it on a girls bike! my girl rides 636 04.come on now...

i got a ton of video of me rocking the gsxr 1000 with some style...

ive also scraped the tail on your (2003) gsxr 1000 and it's a ton smoother than my bike is...

when im going slow....(about 5 mph) the engine stalls because its not geared anymore...

if the 636 is a girls bike you might wanna tell these guys that.....:

stunnas that rock the 636 :

cbo
t card
starboy kevin
starboy scott
mathew blankstrom

scott said he personally thinks the 636 is the best bike ever made

your girls got a hell of a bike.
