bike for g/f
i finally talked my girlfriend into taking the motorcycle safety course.well all of the courses this year are full but we will go over next year when its nice out. my main question is what kind of bike should she get? this would be the first thing that she has rode on two wheels. i was thinking an older ninja 500 or something small like that. ne suggestions?

i picked up a nice looking gs500 for my lady
she loves the looks of it
she thougt the ninja 500 looked too 80s
I threw on some clubman bars (clipon style bars) and some honda F3 rearsets and now its a bangin little corner carver
feels so small and light, its a blast to ride

I'm not sure where you are but I'm going to sell me 01 Katana 600 late October/early november ish. Blue, looks good, but not too good, being her first bike she's going to dump it, we all have. The Kat has a good scraper on the left fairing, not huge but still a good one, along with just a little bit on the right fairing. Runs great, 12,700 miles on it, I got it in april with 5915 and have babied it since. Looking for $4,200 or so.

By the way, the thing WON'T engine wheelie unless you stand up/bounce it, you really have to try to bring it up, but it clutches up in 1st pretty good and a few inches in 2nd if you bounce it, so it's not going to come up if she doesn't want it to, but if she wants to experiment with wheelies she has enough power.
