It's a great looking bike but 99-02 r6's are known to have bad transmission problems. The F4i is a good idea.

Re: Tell me....

DON'T DO IT. You'll lose second gear in about a week of hard riding, lol.

Also, if it's your first bike,'01 R6's are jumpy, the F4i is a much smoother bike.

i'd have suggested it being as thats what i've got, but it kinda depends on what she feels the most comfortable with. i'm not the tallest kid around and riding my gixxer is a damn stretch.

Re: Tell me....

FOr a first bike get a ninja 250, a ex500, an fzr600, a yzf600, or a f4i if you are cautious. A gsxr-600, zx-6, or an R6 is too much bike for a new rider. Also get ready to lower the bike if you are under 5'8"

Re: Tell me....

Oh I'll be ready to lower it because I'm only 5'5 so yeah definitly will need to lower. I have sat on my friends' bikes and some are lowered and some aren't and I still touch on those I guess it's just the bike I dunno so definitly start out with a smaller one than.
