Re: Sprocket Teeth??

Yeah I hate it when that happens. You lose a couple, but you decide to continue to wheelie anyway. Next thing you know, your chain and sprocket are making a horrible noise and you cant acellerate very well.

Re: Sprocket Teeth??

Did you change your sprockets and not your chain? You chain will stretch over time and wear into your sprockets. If you use an old stretched chain, you will round off the teeth of your sprocket and then it will thin out and break. Just time for new chain and sprocket. I suggest -1 +20.

Re: Sprocket Teeth??

hmmmm,
The only thing that I can think of is that you were running the chain too tight.

Not takin care of my **** is not the problem in this case that is why i am curious if this is a common problem with big sprockets Just tryin to see if this is a freak deal or if i just have to be ready to replace sprockets every year or more

Kid had the most retarded looking subframe in the world. This guy would stunt that thing not wearing a helmet or shirt. Most of the time he was wearing shorts.

Re: Sprocket Teeth??

I've only had that happen once and it was because my chain was worn out and loose. Once those teeth start popping they won't stop!

Re: Sprocket Teeth??

i had a -1/+6 combo from sprocket specialists that only lasted me from may till august. i put it on with a new did x ring chain and i keep that **** adjusted. i even cleaned and lubed it after i got caught in the rain a few times. the only reason i can figure it wore out so quick is cause its on the street everyday and at the spot on the weekends.

I've been running a S.S. +19 for almost a year now and it still looks good. I'm sure it will still b on next year. I ride a lot too.
