636R is incredible!!

I just rode the 2004 636R last night....and all I have to say is wow! Im not even a fan of Kawi, but this bike was awesome. Not really any faster than the gixxer per say, but as far a wheelies are concerned...this thing was the SHIAT!! 2nd gears all day long! I didn't even have to work to get that thing to wheelie in 2nd at 25 mph. In-fuggin-credible...so...to all you 636 owners, you gotcha self a good wheelie bike!

you know what, Im so sick of hearing how sick this bike is... You fu(kers are starting to **** me off... I dont know anybody that owns one so I can see for myself(lol)...

But from the sounds, this bike sounds serious... I want to try one out bad, but then I dont cause I cant afford one if I do like it(lol)... Im still saving pennies and searching under everybodies couch to fine that loose change so I can pick up a f4i...

Re: 636R is incredible!!

No...im not saying id buy one...I dont think there is a bike out there that holds up like my gixxer does. Reliable as ****. Ive looped 2 wheelies at a real nice fast speed and have only spent a few hundred to get it back to stock. On the flip side, this 636 went down in a parking lot at like 25 and destroyed the whole side. So I think they are very fragile, but run like a rapped ape! short wheel base adds to their wheelie-ability!

Re: 636R is incredible!!

yeah, I still got my eyes on a 01-02 f4i... But yeah, I know cbo had a few problems with **** breaking on his, and I know Teach replaced a bunch of parts on his too... I still want to see how nice these things are. Hell, I think anything injected is nice, i ride a 97 gix6(lol)... Rode inolen's 03 r6 with -1+5 and loved the thing...

Re: 636R is incredible!!

I use a 600 rr and love it. As far as people say the unit pro link will stop it from wheelying. Well they can all go to hell cause this thing loves to wheely. I have even gone as far as getting it up in 4th. While it is in the air it is very stable. There is a wobble at 180+kph while on the rear wheel. It does have some more weight biased towards the front tire but noting a little clutch work won't fix. I actually did my first highchair on it the other night! One thing you do have to watch for is it has a plastic tank cover as its not really the tank. it's the air box and stuff. Mine is fine and has survived 3 crashed one from about 95kph (that screwed my left right mids and my upper. Next crash was at 110kph (street fighterd now) no frame sliders or cage yet, crank case is scratch. Third crash was more of a drop While I was trying a highchair stoppie.

Re: 636R is incredible!!

The only thing I really didn't like about the 600RR were the clipons they were to low for me, The bike is really set up for road raceing. Just not comfortable to me.

Funny stuff..

Oh, I hear the same thing about the 636 from Chauncey and Scott Caraboolad. I'd like to ride one.

I guy I work with just bought the new 04' Kawi zx600rr, he doesn't stunt but I got to take it for a ride and I'd have to say that it's a pretty sweet bike also. (he wouldn't let me bring up on one wheel) but it is pretty comfortable.

But if I get another bike it will probbaly be a F4i

Isn't that your moms number? I told you, I don't want to be your dad!!! HAHA! I will hit you up later today. I got a 600rr for hella cheap.

I was thinking about smashing the actual tank down, then melting the plastic cover flat. I like the way it wheelies and its light as hell so on 12's or any slow stuff, its easy to manuveur.
