Re: 600rr tank question

Well I stunt a 600 rr I can stand on the tank no problem, And I have just learnt tank spreaders as well as highchairs There does not seem to be any problems, But I have bottomed out the plastic on the air box, so I am thinking about putting a peice of rubber in between the airbox and the tank. Best thing to do is just take your tank off and look at whats under there so you know whats what. Are you running any sort of gearing? I'm still running stock but I am only 150lbs

Exactly, its just a plastic cover over the tank. There is metal under it

Re: 600rr tank question

The gas tank is metal but the farthest point forward of the gas tank is at the filler, it goes back and down almost under the seat after that. To give more centralized weight and a lower center of gravity. If you just took the cover off then you would have to build a bracket to sit on cause there's a bunch of wires and the air box and a fuel rail I beleive I'd have to take another look. Just sit on the tank its not that big of a deal its really strong. if your worried about falling just use some grip tape.

Re: 600rr tank question

nah, he should've kept the gixxer, its 10 times the bike the 600rr is....then again, if someone offered me that deal, I would take it, sell both of them, and then get a gixxer 750 and a gixxer 1k

Re: 600rr tank question

arent you guys sponsored by 905? they can weld so why not have them make a stunt tank? they should be able to if they know whats up with sheet metal. all you have to do is make a frame with some 3/4 in. tube or 1/2 round stock & then throw some sheet metal on it. should be real easy and only take about 2 hours to make tops. and tell 905 if they start marketing it i want some cash

Re: 600rr tank question

the rr tanks are basicly a open toped shoe box as someone already said. You'd be best off trying to rig a f4i or other honda tank on there imo **** if it dont fit dent the bottom in too who cares what it looks like its a stunt bike make that fugger fit on there. i would never dent mine in id rather put some griptape on it i think the top is already flat enough. BTW i "stunt" an rr if you wanna call it stunting because i suck so fuggin much
