i was there, my opinion both tricks were sick, but it wasnt 6 high chair scrapes i 200 feet.....it was more like 6 in 75 feet. thats what it looked like from the stands, it was bad ***. but then again when johnny did that high speed lawn mower move, laying the bike on its side and flying that bitch around, that was sick too. maybe they shouls have handed out ballot forms to the crowd to judge the sickest trick. you know, hand them out, then tell people they had 15. min after the sickest trick comp was done to hand them in, isnt that what sickest trick really is??? what the crowd pleaser was, hich trick got the crowd off there feet??

Re: Special No Thanks To...

damn RODG sorry to hear that ****..........if I were you I would feel the same way......ROBBED

Thats the problem with these damn competitions these days. I think in this industry its more who you know then skill. I witness this **** more and more everyday. Now normally I dont like to get involved in bullshit but its really been getting to me lately.

Now we all know that a H/C scrape is way more technical than a watchtower, but i can see where the crowd can think otherwise. Now the only way to change this is to have fair judging. How in the hell is the crowd and fans ever gonna learn which is harder when you judge competitions this way? **** ITS COMMON SENSE. In a sick trick competiton why am I hearing tricks that have been done before? Wheres the innovation? I once saw a video (BLACK SHEEP SQUADRON) where they called themselves INNOVATORS NOT IMMITATORS when they where doing **** that the europeans have been doing for years. Where in the hell is the innovation in that? Thats what this sport is lacking is innovation. There are way too many riders out there that are living off the image or EGO that they have created and arent showing ****. Thats only gonna last so long.

Now I mean absolutely no disrespect or harm by this post. Its just my personal opinion. Hopefully all this will be a much needed awakening to the sport that we all love so much.

i agree, thats the way it should be done! (even though most of the crowd doesnt know which is more difficult- it isnt a technicality contest- its SICK TRICK) i thnk we should let the crowd decide

Re: Special No Thanks To...

sorry rodg, but you gotta learn the hard way

unless a contest has every rule and judging agenda written in stone prior to the event(ex. NSRA) its not even worth going to

after a few lousy comps and broken bones/bikes you'll have the same philosophy as CBO which I know totally agree with

Re: Special No Thanks To...

I have no opinion on who won or any of the tricks, hell I don't even know any the guys, but when voting on a competition do you always want just pros judging? I would think a mix would be good, some pros who could explain the more technical stuff and some non pros who would be more impressed by the crowd pleasing tricks. I could be totally wrong, just my opinion.

Sounds pretty lame to me. i don't think there it is even close to compare watchtowers to scraping high chair with no hand brake. There are so many guys that can hardly ride here that are doing watchtowers. Bar tricks are gay to me anyway.,

Re: Special No Thanks To...

There was a motorcycle fair in NY today and they put on a lame wheelie contest. I didn't ride so I sat in the stands, I was surprised at the crowds reactions. This was a mixed crowd Harley, racers, stunters ect. The guys doing circles, over the bar scrapes and the other hard tricks got some applause, but the crowd went crazy for rev limiter burn outs, a christ, Reality's crazy combos (I think because he looked like he was going to crash) and the biggest cheer was for the one guy that did a watch tower at 2 mph.....Go figure. By the way that guy also did every other trick in the book before the watch tower.
