i did till i lane split past a bus and infront of that buss was a wonderful FHP officer who decided to get right behind me follow me threw the light and pull me over. (couldnt run cause he already had my plate from sitting at the light) and write me a ticket in his car while i sat in the rain.3 pionts and 85 bucks later i dont pass imroperly (to offten ) anymore . no passing zones and emergancy lanes are still fair game though

Better check your local laws.
In California you can go up the line to the front of the stop light or while in heavy traffic on streets and freeways....but you can't be going more than 10mph faster that the cars you're passing or something like that, not sure.
They also have a helmet law.
Other states not sure, Colorado is a big .. .

Yeah in Cali it's ok to do that. We always go all the way to the front, but I dont when five o or CHP is around. I dont wanna take a chance and find an a$$hole.

you would have to split cars while doing a stoppie right to get to the front of the line/lite? you did say to the front of the lite. this is what you do?

you can split lanes in cali its actually called lane sharing and "only when the conditions are permitting and done in a safe mannor" the 10mph thing.. there is no set speed law. (ie 10mph) theres no law saying you cant share lanes but there isnt a law saying you can and it must be within these limits. technically if the lane is big enough two cars can share the lane. But it really boils down to the cops judgement call and they tend to be somewhat resonable.... atleast the ones i ran into

I live in so Cal. You can do it up to 30mph, only between 2 lanes though. I gotta problem doing it in single lanes, almost go clipped by a parellel parker. Once on the freeway too, a guy almost turned into me. There are some haters here though, cars try to block you to not let you through. I just bust their side mirror off. But for the most part all the time.

True, but when it's 90 out and your 30 cars back in rush hour traffic it would be nice to beat the heat and go to the front...ya know for people that ride there bikes to work and stuff.

im pretty sure its illegal everywhere but there is a loop hole in the california law about lane "sharing" as long as its under 20 or something....
