hey guys, what's up.....it's been about a month since i posted, my job took away our internet access, anyway...i dropped 2 down up front and have learned to rock stand up wheelies down the freeway, and stand up on the seat and cruz, and am gettin ready to smash my tank in so i can start practicing tank spreaders, anyway i've got a 2000 R1 and am getting sick of everyone telling me you can't stunt an R1, my buddies keep telling me to get a 929, so i went by the dealership today, just to see if they had any used 929s and might want to swap..........anyway, what should i do, should i sell it or trade it for a 929, or stunt the R1...........anyone in here bust out on an R1....(not just wheelies but stunt it) thanx guys

bro i dont care what n e 1 says..i rock a 01R1..dont totally stunt it but i can do tank wheelies(stock tank-kinda hard.lol), stand-ups, sitters, stoppies..im 2 up in the rear/slip on/jetted...i got a few friends though and they tell me to get a honda..just my 2 cents..

all yamahas are known for being quite unstable on 1 wheel, and in the occation of a crach, they break more than usual.

anyone rockin circles on an r1..........when i try slow wheelies my bike feels wobbly........like it wants to tip over (don't know if this is normal)

I have a '00 R1 but I only use it for street riding, I got a RR for a stuntbike. I like it a lot better it's less twitchy. just my 2 cents.

Only bad things about R1s are that the subframe is welded to the frame and the tanks are not easy to dent correctly. Don't listen to the "wobbly" or "unstable" BS people say - R1's stunt fine - it's a bike... My boy coffey had one for years.

900 or 929 or Gixxer or F4i etc... is prob. a better choice though if your gonna get serious - esp cause of that damn subframe on the R1
