Rear tire...

I've had my D208 for a month now and cords are about to show I cannot find anyone near me that has 160/60 race take offs. I looked on ebay but had no or little luck. I bought 3 D208 front tires with good condition for $50 but still haven't found a race take-off that fits. Any of you guys know someone who could get me one or two for a cheap price? Would be very thankful. AIM me flip3587 or email me flip3587@***.net

Re: Rear tire...

i dont know that anybody would be racing with a 160, try a 170. somebody said a `180 would fit an f2 rim a while ago, search for that. just stop doin burnouts and a tire will last more than a month

Re: Rear tire...

For a rear tire I wouldnt use a race takeoff personally. The have more of a curve and weardown un-even on the sides if you're doing slow stuff (in my experience). I'm all 'bout it 'bout it for the front though.

4.5 inch rim. Maybe if you switched to a F3 rim, 5.5"

Stick with 160

Re: Rear tire...

well i havent done a single burnout on this tire which is what pisses me off the most...also if i were to get a 180 i would have to switch to a F3 rim and go to 520 chain, sprockets...im only 17 and cant afford to buy a new tire every ****ing month i guess ill keep trying on ebay

You wont need to change your chain/sprockets. F2 and F3 wheels use the same carrier. I would still stick witha 160.

Re: Rear tire...

It will fit the rims width in the middle is wider and thus will give U more clearance. I put a 900RR rear rim on my f3 had to spread the swingarm a little but it looked pimp as hell. Didn't have a whole lot of clearance in the swingarm thought about 1/4 inch from the tire touching the swingarm, one of my boyz runs 180 fon his f3 with the original rim but it just a stuntbike he dosnt try to hang any corners on it. Wouldnt recommend running a bigger tire unless its just a stuntbike.

Re: Rear tire...

Get your rims figured out and go dumpster diving. I pull tires out of the local cycle shop dumpster everyother week. They're good tires for stunting and burnouts, I've even found a few in really good shape.

Re: Rear tire...

The best fukn' tire I've used in 17 years, Pilot Road. It's cheap and lasts 3 times as long as a race tire, which I also love. With Pilot Road radial, I just learned to do highchairs and spreaders in the **** pourin' rain with 18 psi in it. Try that on a Dunlop. Dumpter special, all it had was a 2" nail in it. :YEAH
