[QUOTE=r6_kidd]clutch or power? at what rpms are you bringing it up at? stay steady on the throttle once at bp while covering that rear brake. same advice as r6-kid. if your really at or near the bp you should let alittle off the gas just a hair. keep in mind the bp is very small so covering the rear brake is a must.mad props for trying, keep it up...

Re: cant keep it up!!!
I had an 01 1000 and learned 2nd gear balance point wheelies on this. I was uninformed and powered them up. This is fine but you HAVE TO let off the throttle a bit if powering them up. What i did was cruise at about 40-45mph, quickly roll on throttle half way, let the bike rise smoothly......Now once near the bp (you'll feel the bike getting very light) let off the throttle and quickly come back on at about a quarter throttle. Once it kinda sits in the bp you can totally let off and when it starts to fall just twist the throttle to bring it back up. I think it's important to let off like i said because otherwise the rev's/powerband is up high and you wont' be able to smoothly keep the bike up and might possibly loop it. Letting off allows the revs to drop way down and the throttle input becomes more predictable. This is just my opinion and im not a true master anyway.

Re: cant keep it up!!!
First off you need to learn to always clutch your standups, sitdowns, or whatever else you are doing on one wheel. Second make sure you do not have any play in your throttle. Adjust it where it is stiff but does not stick to the clipon.
Hope that helps and make sure to cover your rear brake.
Peace Justin
