Re: streetfighter questions

For sure cut the wires and hoses. That'll work out slick.

What kind of frame slides do you have on your f3? I need some badly.

No, definitely don't cut the wires. I was just joking. Sorry. Congrats on the new R1. That thing is tight. Let me know how your cage works out. I'd be interested in getting one if you like it. I want to be able to pull into a parking spot and just drop my ****. Old ladys would be like wtf?

How the hell do you keep surviving these crashes virtually untouched? I wish I had your luck

Re: streetfighter questions

i haha, the wire ?? i just got done with mine. It take some time but you have to run them down both sides of your air box, and the ram air tubes aren't need, just leave them off, but leave the filter behind the airbox. And you can get rid of the air tube that comes out between the forks, just leave the tubes that turn down. Any other ?? let me know. Just got done with mine.

Re: streetfighter questions

I'm looking for a tiny gauge panel that can do rpm, speedo, and water temp all in one, but the ones I've found are fuggin expensive. I like yours Jesters, that's nicely done. You wouldn't wanna make another one of those 12 bars would you? I don't have access to a welder unfortunately

Re: streetfighter questions

I took a dremel to my stock gauges and hacked out the speedo, then bondoed it all together... the tach was trashed in the crash so it couldn't be used... i guess you can't really tell from the pics, but it looks cool.

get the ufo lights from www.powersportspro.com, that's where I got mine from. The bike is almost done and is fun as hell to ride. Just needs a front fender and some little parts painted like the caliper extensions...

Hey where are those forks from(inverted?)? Did you pull them off another bike or are they just aftermarket? Very nice by the way. I'll prolly streetfighter mine after I trash the hell out of it. The 905 cage is keeping it pretty in the meantime.

Re: streetfighter questions

I would highly recommend that you have some type of gage...at least a water or oil temp gage. Just so you know what's going on

lights can also be found here www.acerbis.com

but I'd check ebay or some aftermarket supplier that carries acerbis lights...it's alot cheaper if you buy them somewhere else

Re: streetfighter questions

You dont need a temp gauge. Just wire a switch to your fan so you can turn it on when you want to.

the thermostat that kicks your fan works without the guages. I just unplugged my guages, the wires are already run inside the frame from teh factory so i had no problems. i put a UFO headlight/number plate on it. i'm working on the tach right now, don't want to clutter up the front with a big out of place tach so i might just leave it off.

those forks on that one bike are gixxer 750 forks.

and corey (jester's) bike has an autometer tach. you can get a 3.5" one at autozone.....it's just a car tach.

I personally like to know what's going on with my bike....just because the fan comes on doesn't mean it's staying cool
