one wheel burnouts

i finally started getting the hang of clutchin up first. my tire's bald and i've been meaning to replace it. well, we're out the other day and i go to hoist one and it only comes up a couple inches and i hear this wierd noise. i didn't know what was up. so i try one, again, and this time (just to be sure) i give it a good whack. it only came up a few inches, i heard the noise again, but this time i noticed my back end moving from side to side. that's when i realized i'z spinning it

it made me think "if i had skilz, i'd have to work on these"

is anyone doin these, on purpose?

Re: one wheel burnouts

you need to warm up your tires before you wheelie or it will do that

Yeah, cold tires. Warm them up before you loop it.

Re: one wheel burnouts

I managed to do that a couple of times, but it's scares me, espacially after I almost pulled a tank-slapper. I did something similaiar the other dya, trying to work on rolling burnouts (o.k not working on, first time doing it, trying to show off in front of friends and girls) and I got rolling but after 2 feet the rear tire caught traction and the bike started leaning left and right, back and forth really quickly, almost lost it, scared the **** outta me. Any advice while we on the subject? And as for the original post, make damn SURE you got those tires warmed up before you do anything! I've duked it out with the cold tire monster a couple of times, and I don't want to see it again.

Re: one wheel burnouts

when i try to do wheelies on cold tires, sometimes all it manages to do is a nice rolling burnout, sometimes it catches after a while, but doesnt come up fast enough to make me crash... you just have to expect it if your tires are cold... if youre planning on it, it can look real cool!

Or if you're not planning on it, it can look even cooler!
