what's up bro... we overfill ours so that the oil level is barely over the top of the sight glass. Haven't had any problems, just stay away from bar tricks

Yoshimura makes one, but if you can find a motorcycle drag racing shop they can make you a better one for half the price at about $160 and you will never have a problem, you can do all the bar tricks for days. Also its not a good idea to over fill the gixxer with oil, reason being that if you doing high wheelies or bar tricks the oil pickup is still up front and far up, which means still no oil and too much weight on the top end(do to too much oil), that will follow by something going bad in the engine.

Re: Who makes and ext. oil pick up for Gixxers?

I couldnt find one anywhere either. I sat down with an engine builder and a set of gixxer engine cases and we speced one out. Then we went over to a cad designer and had him make it on the computer and then sent the cad file to a machinist. I have 10 coming in this week. CNC machined from aluminum. If you want one pm me and I will stick one back for you when they come in. I am expecting them in the mail any day this week.

THAT is awesome.

I wanna make a ghetto one for my 88 Hurricane. some bent tubing welded in place, any ideas?

I might remove the baffle (#6), what is the point for that thing ? filter out huge debris ?

my Hurricane smokes after a wheelie.. its only overfilled about 1qt. I got my PCV airbox **** unplugged, how is oil getting into my combustion chamber??

They will work for the 6, 7 and 1k. I don't wanna get in trouble with shuggs for selling stuff on his site so right now I am not *selling* them. I just got mine in today and am gonna put my bike through a couple weeks of hell. 4-5 hours a day non stop in every position possible with an oil pressure gauge so I can monitor pressure the whole time. If every thing goes well I'll let everybody know what the deal is. I am about to head out right now but earlier after installation on a g6 at the shop I got no oil light with the bike on the bar.

If you can get one for me you will be my hero. I am on my 3rd 750 motor.
I think I keep blowing them from lack of oil to the main bearings. I am trying to stop the rev limiter stuff but its too much fun. pm me when you get them.
I just bought a 900rr can you get them for that bike as well?

Haven't done any bikes other than gixxers sofar. The gixxer pickups are doing their jobs perfectly in testing sofar. The 900 is next once I am perfectly happy with these.
