Re: will a wider...

nope, i think the widest you can put on that would be a 160...you go any wider and it'll fold the tire over and make it unstable.

however, you can find f3 rear rims for cheap on ebay, i just sold one for like 40$ and it bolts right up. the only difference between f2 and f3 rims are the lips, the lip on an f3 is 1/2" wider, but the hub and everything else stayed the same.

sell your f2 rear, or keep it for a spare and get an f3 rim so you can put a 170 and i think even a 180 rear on that f3 rim.

alright, heres the deal, i've got a F3 with a 180, BUT i think a 180 will only fit with a 520 chain. As far as the F2, i'm not real sure, but good luck. I was running slicks, but I got some dunlop 208's, and i like them a lot

chain size won't matter....as the chain gets bigger, it goes outwards away from the tire, so it's always going to be a set distance from the tire. it has plenty of clearance. all rear end parts on f2's are the same as f3's, except the f3 rim has 1/2" wider lip than the f2's, but the hub is the same.

so get an f3 rim and put a 180 on it. i know 170 fits on f3 rims for sure, 180 should work too.
