I want to learn how to bring up my r6 in 3rd. i have stock gears and i tried bouncing the shiit out of it and popping the clutch, but i cant get it. I need some pointers.

 

One of my boys can on his F4i - NO clutch, stock gearing, only mod is a hindle slip-on.

 

stock gixxer will do it. gotta be above 9k and bounce the **** out of it.

on a R6 i'd put the revs around 11 bouce and pull

 

He's right bounce the **** out of it, also try to stand on the rear pegs. Good Luck!

 

Why do u need to bring it up in 3rd? Just get it up high in 2nd and stay there and chill. That way you aren't going so fast when u get it to the balance point.

 

i have an 02 R6, full D&D, jetted and a K&N, stock gearing, i can bounce it up in 3rd, pretty hard tho, gotta get tha feel for it. Im about to go -1+5 to make it better tho

 

how fast are you trying to wheelie son? there's no reason to bring it up in 3rd. there's also no point of flying by traffic at 120 in an accelerating power wheelie nothing cool about that.

if you're looking to rock a lower rpm in a freeway wheelie then clutch it up in 2nd and shift to 3rd. keep in mind it's better for cars to pass you than it is for you to pass them in a wheelie makes them look more wreckless

 

I can do it on my 03 R6 with stock gearing, but it's fuking fast for my taste

Get rid if the R6 - that's your problem.

that R6 will come up in 3rd and 4th no problem. The trick is the timing of the clutch and bounce. Don't stand on the rear pegs either. just because you are in a higher gear doesn't mean you HAVE to go faster. I'll pick my 1000 up in 5th at 130 for fun and see how fast i can slow it down. Usually to about 73mph.

 

I know thats my problem its gettin put up for sale right now. I want a 929 so bad i can taste it.

The thing is i dont like having to slow down to 35 to bring it up smooth and the highways here in okla are 75 mph. i guess i will just have to shift to 3rd that seems to be the easiest till i get a bigger bike

 

This kid must suck ***. I can bring up my 01 SV650S in 3rd, stock gears, no clutch and then shift to 4th gear or 5th.

Anyway, you can bounce that thing up no prob just might be a little on the quick side, once you get the hang of it you will be able to do it at lower speeds. Different bike, but my F4i with stock gears would come up in third at 50 mph. Bounce hard, as soon as bike is fully compressed rev it up and drop the clutch, then pull back on the bars. Go rock some highway wheelies don't let retards get ya down bro

 

BTW I had an SV and I was damn good on it. Now I'm on an F4i, and what kinda of things could you tell me that I don't already know

 

yea i would get that thing straight up in second and ride it all day it will do 70 in second easy

 

and the SV engine would blow after a mile of 12ing

 

one thing is you aren't that hot if you make yourself feel warm and fuzzy about your riding ability by cutting down a less experienced rider. and if you need any tips just ask cuz I can probably help
