cops around here are alright, i've only been pulled over a couple of times but i always give them the most respect i can and talk politely to them, and i do everything they tell me

For the most part, LAPD is cool. On the streets, they won't even look your way just as long as they don't catch you doing "stuff" in front of their faces.
CHP, now that's another story. It's almost always automatic that you'll get pulled over for one thing or another (no rear plate, mirrors, exhaust, LP blinkers, etc.) And since quite of few bikers here don't have M1 licenses, the CHP loves to pull behind bikers to see if they'll freak out and run.

I havent been bothered here. I havent had mirrors in two years. I just keep the idle down around town. THe stateis will definaly chase u on the high way though , those fu(kers r crazy. got to keep the speed down and ur fine. No idiot wheelies through intersections or down main roads. FTP

cops are like a box of chocolates - you NEVER know what yer gonna get. i've gotten warned for stuff that should've gotten me cited and i've gotten tickets for ghey crap. in my Dept., most of us ride so we like bikes and take opportunities to talk to people on them - like if i see 'em parked at the gas station or somethin. i won't pull someone over just to check out their ride, that seems dickish and illegal actually.
i tell all my bros "take it out of town, if i have to, you do too" and they do.
i was on a 4-lane, a truck up the road lost some of it's load and the driver was parked in the street cleaning it up. i was approaching all this behind a cop, he stopped and put his lights on. (not wanting to get rear ended) i pulled up alongside his passenger door on the paved portion of the shoulder (over the white line). he rolls down his window and says "what? you wanna race?" he was just goofin, but it was still cool.
