I4 vs V2

I searched but couldn't find a definitive answer...

What are the advantages of stunting an inline four compared to a v-twin? And disadvantages?

Re: I4 vs V2

oil pickup, revs, inline sportbikes are normally cheaper and have more parts than most V twin's.

Re: I4 vs V2

the v-2 have a problem with oil starving the engine during long wheelies.
most people rock i-4 cause there are more of them on the market
but a v-2 will rock anything that you want.

tenny thanks for the cage it was just a little late cause i looped my **** on thursday night. a nice 2nd gear standup that i just fuked up. how are the pocketbieks going?

Re: I4 vs V2

ah thanks guys

it's mainly the front cylinder that suffers from oil issues eh?

what about differences in weight distribution and torque curve?

I've heard that twins have torque for days, never ridden one though. I want to try one someday. Really want a TLR.

twins have mad torque. i rode a buell and was wheeling the **** outta it rolled a 30ft endo on it too and i haven't done endos in forever cause of the liquid cooled brake pad upgrade, LOL. this thing wheelied like a champ but it was a 900.

Re: I4 vs V2

tenny i am ok just rashed up pretty bad...

ALWAYS WEAR YOUR JACKET EVERYONE SO YOU DONT LOOK LIKE MY RASHED UP ***!

the bike is a freaking tank.. the only damage that wasnt already there was that i cracked the case cover again and bent the fairing stay again so i will have to take it all apart and beat it back into shape. my plastics are still shitty and just got alittle *******.

anyone that wants a TANK of a stunt bike get a damn F3... mine has been looped a few times and gets up like a champ every time.

i ride a honda vtr1000(liter twin). its definately a cool bike. not only does it sound like a savage but it is real torquey. its a little different getting used to a twin as opposed to an i4 cause its real punchy and not quite as smooth, but once you get used to it its real nice. im not really a stunter, but for wheelies the thing is real sweet. the only downside is twins dont rev anywhere near as high as an i4, i redline at 9500. but all in all i love it especially because its different.

Yeah, I saw a TLR today with a pair of D&D's on it. It sounds bad ***! Better than a i4!
