do i necessarily need a new chain every time i get a new sprocket...i bought one when i went up 2 teeth...then dropped a tooth in the front...then bought another chain when i went up 3 more teeth in the back...is it all necessary?

Yes. If not, the sprocket will wear down really fast.

It will wear down faster, but I have been chainging sprockets for a while on the same chain, and I can't tell a difference in the sprockets....They look brand new. I have 8,000+ miles on them, clutching the **** out of them.
