Shold be fine, just needs to have a 5/8" piston to give the best pressure/leverage.

it's a 900rr flipped over. some say you want the bigger piston, i run a 94 900rr master cylinder, it has a 14mm piston, the 95-99 has a 5/8" piston (bigger) and the 929 has a 3/4" piston. the bigger the piston the more fluid you can push so the stronger the feel. I think my 14mm works just fine, i have HH pads for the handbrake to give me good bite.
if you have stock clip ons, here is why i like my 14mm (93-94 900rr), the master cylinder is smaller. Mine already hits my fork tube and makes it tight with space, if i put my 929 like that, i would have no room and it wouldn't fit. with MX bars you'll be fine though, just gotta have room to do it with 929.
also, they are a bioch to bleed.

That looks like the same setup I have- a 99 900rr front brake master turned over. Notice I still have the blinker and highbeam switch- the 929 one is too big for this. I also only have one caliper thanks to GP-Tech, (look at the braided line goint into the rear brake master) the only down fall with this is when you grab the hand brake you lose the foot brake.
