GSXR 1000 vs GSXR 750

I’m looking for some opinions on the dirrerances between the two. Which is the better bike? Is the 1000 too much bike to stunt? Is the 750 overrated? I have very little sport bike experience but I ve ridden for 30 yrs. If I get the 1000 is it an accident waiting to happen? Thanks. Jim.

If you're an experienced rider a 1000 should be no problem, I actually think my 750 is just fine, it has enough power to keep up, it's cheaper, and it stunts very well.

The 1000 is tha big dawg bike. You ain't got nothing to worry about as long as you respect the power that it puts out. If you don't watch out then your bound to eat your lunch on any CC motor.

If I had to do it all over I would go with the 750. The 1000 is just too much. Throttle is way touchy and when you gas it, it pulls to the right pretty bad. I rode ChadOTE's 750 a couple weeks ago and it is way easier than mine to ride. Everybody that gets on my bike is scared of it! Of course the 2down 20 up gearing has a little to do with that.

I rode both a 03 750 and a 03 1000 and I liked the 750 better, feels lighter and the power is way smoother.

1000=jumpy delivery to much power
750=smooth easier to control

Re: GSXR 1000 vs GSXR 750

man, i couldnt even imagine riding a geared 1000 and trying to hold a smooth wheelie.....my 750 with only -1 is a bitch for me after riding the fiddy so much.
If I could do it over again I'd have gotten a 600 and geared it and be set.

Re: GSXR 1000 vs GSXR 750

So it looks like the 750 is the better performer. Would I just be better off with a 600 geared? Is so which bike.I'm only trying to master the short wheelie and the rolling burn out. I'll leave big time stuntin for guys. Thanks

Re: GSXR 1000 vs GSXR 750

I had a GIX 6 last year. Those were my training wheels.

I got rid of the 6 and had the same question when I went to get my bike this year.

Everyone and I mean everyone that has a 1000 said the 750 is a better bike. They didn't like the handling on the 1000 and said it is almost too powerful. These ryders are definately speed freaks also but get the wheel up once and a while.

The GIX 750 has the agility of a 600 and comparable power to the 1000.

I bought a 750 and like it (although not legal yet) and that thing lifts with no problems.

Verrrrryyyyyy
