I just thought of an idea for comps. There should be wheelie races. There would be a course laid out with spray paint. The course would get progressively more harder to navigate. For example, there would be a strait at the begining of the track, then it would progress to a gradual left hand turn, and at the end of the course there would be like a 180 degree right hand turn. The riders whould ride one at a time, and would be judged by time if they finish, and distance if they don't. At the starting line they would have about 5 ft before they have to get the front up. The rules would be something like: only one wheel on the ground, no feat on the ground, disqualified if you run over a line, you are allowed to put the bar on the ground when comming into a corner. Each rider would have like 3 runs, best one counts. When riders get good at wheelie racing, then maybe they could run 2-3 riders at a time. I think an event like this would display complete control of the bike. If the straits are long enough, the riders would need to shift up and down during the wheelie. Something like this could be very exciting to watch. The rider would start out with a low wheelie and speed up very fast, then they would do a coaster/12 coming into the corner. After making a sharp turn, they would drop the front down, and speed up again.
