selling a stuntbike?

im thinking about selling my bike and was wondering if anyone else here has sold their stuntbike, where, and how did it go? i got an 01 929 rebuilt from salvage title licensed in colorado streetfighter. i dont know how many miles are on it but the guy i bought it from picked it up at the end of 01 so it cant have more than one season on it. just the tank, tail and headlight, no fairings. it also has a custom cage, and 12 bar and geared up 11, its pretty nice, the only thing wrong is theres a very small dent in the frame where the handlebar hit the frame but its just cosmetic and the left side of the frame has scratches. it runs great, im worried if i sell it on ebay or somthin ill get a buyer that has no idea what he bought and will try to make my life misrable. thinking about selling it for 3800-4000. any thoughts

Re: selling a stuntbike?

just sold mine on ebay a couple of weeks ago. List everything wrong with it, and say in all caps STUNT BIKE, about a billion times. A guy bought mine and didn't even want to stunt it, lol. Wanted to fix it, so I sold it to him with a contract that said no guarrantees. Just don't try and screw someone, take lots of pictures, and make it detailed.
Forwadair.com is who I would ship through it I were you. You should be good to go though, try and sell locally if you can, if not EBAY

Re: selling a stuntbike?

I've never seen it get over $400 to the 48 states. It should be cheaper than that. Just make the buyer pay all shipping cost, that's the only way to go.
