will a gixxer1000 motor shoehorn into a 600 frame? brackets?

What do you know about a gixxer1k motor in a 600 frame? can brackets be fabbed?

You have to cut off the upper mounts for each and switch them for the appropriate motor.

the 1000 motor is basically just a stroked 750. the 750 goes in, and the 750 and 1000 use basically the same cases and the exact same head.

Front motor mounts are different from a 600 motor to a 750. Will not fit, unless you fab the front mounts. Now a 1000, I heard that the rear motor mounts are different. But with a little fabrication you could probaly make it work.

check out gixxer.com. I know they sell the conversion kit to get the 750 motor into the 600. If so, they gotta sell a 750 to a 1000 kit if ya know what im sprayin!

It can be done, but your going to have to know a welder with some time. I know you can put a busa motor in a 600 frame, so the 1000 should go in with less work than that.

Thanx for the input guys, I was just wondering if it was as simple as mount and fab brackets...or the cut and weld ordeal

NOPE NOT LESS WORK!!! you have to fabricate mounting brackets!!! and some welding and patience but it will work!! I know the 2001 gsxr 1000 motor fits into a 1997 gsxr 6 frame, like I said with modification to the frame!!
