Honda CCT's.....

The honda cct is a ****ing pos, does anyone know about the manual ones what all do you have to do with them? Do you have to adjust them alot....

And when I put in my cct, I did not find tdc, is it important that I find that, I was told that it isnt by alot of people but mine went out again in just 500 miles, its bad again......

Anyone got any imput or anything interesting about them? I would really apreciate your hlep

yo i had mine replaced, at about 11,800, if you have a warrenty its free, other then that i hope you have alot of time on your hands cause you have to drop out the front of the motor to get to the cct on the f4i's

Actually dude not to be rude all you have to do is take off the tank to get to it.... But I'm not sure if you have find tdc or not....

I just removed the two bolts holding it in and put in an adjustable one. I've no problems.

true that. i put a manual one on last year. took about two hours to get the old one off PITA!!! and 15 min to get the new one on. i just tightened it until i found tension, started the motor, and adjusted it until the noise was gone. just did the one on my gixxer too. only took 30 min. you don't have to drop the motor. just take the tank off and buy some allen wrenches to make some creative tools. pm me if you think you need more help...TED
