Yo check it i know its probably not the right place to be looking for this info but i need to know how to get around bess we use to just go to internet options the connection tab then put a diffrent proxy number in and change it but some how a comptuer dude got rid of the connection tab in internet options and i dont know how to get it back so dose any one else know who to get around bess while in school!! thax

 

sounds like some one set up user ids to limit what users are able to do

ok you can try this , hold shift while the comp is booting to boot in safe mode once in safe mode find where the exe file or program file for the bess on the computer is , once found take a letter off the front if its bess just make it ess then save it reboot , hopefully if done right the pc will not find the bess exe file so the program will not load, you should be able to browse. then b4 you leave go back into safemode but the letter back in and save it again shut down the pc next time it is booted looks like nothing happened cause bess is back on. (if this does not work the settings on the server may be set for the users and you cant do anything about it but if its a school you it will probably work) :YEAH

 

hey have something with out rebooting it cause im like two computers away from the teacher and i think it would look a little bad if im there shuting it off and its only a 45min class if that

Yeah but were the hell would the bess program be cause ive looked and cant find it and trust me this guy is a smart guy and he could hid it any where.

Just type in the address you want to access in the Web Page bar. You should now be able to browse freely bypassing old Bess'e
Or, you could also try to access the Connections tab the back way to change the Proxy setting. Here's how;
In IE click Help,Contents and Index when the new window opens up click Options then Internet Options... Just my Have fun

Can you get to regedit? the key you will want to look for is
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings

2 settings in there you may need to change
first:if he has disabled the proxy on the machine then
ProxyEnable needs to = 1 or 0x00000001
second the ProxyServer setting can be set to whatever you want it to in this format

proxy server:port like so, if you wanted to set it to connect to a proxy on 128.152.168.1 port 8080 it would be 128.152.168.1:8080
purtty easy even for a kid now go post on stuntlife/or surf some **** instead of bettering yourself in school

BTW you can create a reg file to do these things for you just create one to set it to your new settings and one to set it back to the old settings, if you need me to show you how to create one of these just holla.

 

Hey thanks for all your info and the one thing is that they got rid of the connection tab in the internet opitons and thats one thing i cant do so ill try the one where you have to click the thing and see if that works and i cant really do any saving **** cause it doesnt save anything when the computere gets shut down like we cant even download **** cause it will delet it because of his blocks

 

R6 kidd hey it said that it was a loophole and didnt allow me to do it so that blows big time but thax and i am at school right now as it is i can get in here but i cant get to miniclip or anything like that that are games you know well ill keep trying all the stuff you guys say but id dont know how it will work only if there was a way to restore the connection tab in the internet options you know

 

does any one know who to just get the internet connectionns back in the internet options. if someone can do that then im cool.

 

hey man i got to the windows but he got rid of the curre ntVersion so i cant get to the sttings. thsi sucks. now what can i do.

YO check this i got to the connection and click on defalut and ti came up with this thing called Edit Binary Value

THen it has tons of #s and a couple of # anything you can do with that?

 

you got access to the cdrom drive? Download knoppix from http://www.linuxiso.org/distro.php?distro=44 and burn it to a cd. pop it in the drive and boot from the cd. Once it boots up, you will have full blown linux install to play with. It bypasses the harddrive completely and works entirely off of the cd. It will allow you to browse the web, open office docs, watch movies, watch flash etc. etc. Its cool.

 

so your saying all i have to do is download that stuff on a disc and then boot that up when at school on the disc drive? :YEAH
