depends on the situation...it would have to be some serious circumstances, like a race or competition, and their own helmet just got written off...but this one dude put my helmet on at a party when i wasn't looking. he had a fat head and stretched out my helmet. basically turned into a spare, cause it was waaaay too big for me afterwards. since then, no one uses my lid.

I got a shelf full of older ones that are still sound for loaning duty, but I'd still loan the one I use to a close friend rather than have them ride without. My loaner shelf is short one on a semi perm basis cause a dude down the street kept saying he didn't have the money to buy one, so I loaned him one until he gets his own, I don't wanna see another rider go down without a lid ever again. My is to pick up a few used ones that are still sound at pawn shops etc for loaning out so you never have to loan your personal lid.

ya, about the loner helmets, we aren't talking about those. i have those for a reason, those are for other people to wear cause i don't like seeing people without helmets. but your own lid.

the sweaty thing is also something, i don't want to share someone elses sweat in that helmet, and the stretching thing. if you wear the helmet all the time, it's kinda formed to the shape of your head, someone goes and stretches it out, it doesn't fit right. i had that happen on my last helmet cause some dumbass with an XL head thought it would be funny to put my helmet on when we were stopped getting some food....thanks, just ruined my helmet for me.

also, if it's just another person, not one of your close friends, you act as if they will pay for it if they drop it. i would say maybe 1 person in my life has actually replaced something of mine they broke while ****ing around...most people are just like "oops my bad, i'll pay for it" then end up disappearing or never paying for it.

Like two weeks ago me and my bros were at wendys eating lunch. We started to leave and some crackhead came up to me and said,"YO Dog is that yo yella bike!" ....Yeah man...."You wanna cop YOself a new helmet?"...what kind?..."I dunno? a yella wun"...How much?..."10 Dolla!" Go get it...."Aight, gimme 5 minutes DOG!"

He came back with a nice yellow HJC. It was a small and it had a little rash on the front. But now we have a community HO helmet. I just tell them the story and that it might have crabs in it or something.

My friends can use my good one if they want!
