jay, i just rock an HJC CL-14 helmet, it doesn't bother my side to side vision at all. Might not be all high class like a shoei but it doesn't it's job and fits me good so i rock it.
and kenny, your big *** head wouldn't fit in my helmet....haha, how's that tail plastic rash doing? gotta watch the 929, it likes to beat up other bikes.

I’d give someone my lid anytime. Even if it’s my good one it can be replaced, that person can not. Between me and the roomy we’ve got 9 helmets around so that isn’t an issue. Though I did lend one of my Arai’s out to a female last year and haven’t gotten it back yet!

i keep an extra for loaning out. no big deal. but mine is an aria, and it's mine. of course it would depend on the situation. i would only loan it out to a good friend, a better rider that is less likely to f*ck it up then a rookie, or someone that'll throw down $550 if they mess it up. i dont want to see anyone getting jacked up, but there are plenty of extra helmets laying around to let someone crash in 'your lid'.

Re: would you let someone use your lid?
I got a CL-12 from a dealer here in Colorado and the bastard fitted it for me. Well when I got my sport bike I realized that when I tuck down the helmet moves down to the point that I have to roll my eyes up just to see out of it and it's constantly moving from wind and what not.
I would have taken it back but I lowsided my 200 when I leaned too far on cold tires and when I went down I slid and my helmet got a dime size rash on it.
I've been looking for a job for a while and the first thing I'm buying is a new helmet.

dude, that happened to me with my first lid, which also happened to be a CL-12...it wasn't as bad as yours though, but anytime i would do over 150km on the highway, i would end up eating the chin bar. HJC's are pretty garbage anyway though. you should get a fiberglass lid as your next one. my next lid was an Arai, and the two brands are like night and day.
