Do the math... and figure it out for yourself. FI sometimes encourages guys to buy another cage manufacturer's cage, because they know that in the long run once they aren't happy with it they will buy a FI cage anyway. Seriously. lol

GSE - " We are the F.I. cage haters. We are the most consistent F.I. cage haters on the face of the green earth. We've broken a motor mount and maybe a frame because of F.I., not because we flop our bike like pankakes at IHOP. We shall continue to hate until we've plagued every website and thread with our hatred, until then..."

Re: best cages?

I am not hating, I like Tim barnes and have spoken to him personally a few times, but his cage did NOT hold up. that thing bent in half and wasted my subframe mounts with just a minor wipeout. I also have one of his 12 bars sitting in the back of my truck. My new 905 cage is just sick. my 954 took the hardest spill ever and hardly scratched it. bike fell from 12 at speed and didnt even put a mark on my handlebar end. thats just my experience. dont worry I am not an IHOP rider either. I just have 110% confidence in my sweet *** 905!!

Re: best cages?

Both the FI cage and the 905 do the job and do them well, but it's more than just the cage. I ride with an FI but I like the way 905 treats their customers more...

Re: best cages?

As far as 905, just wait until you drop it one good time and that bar goes right into your oil filter, then into your oil cooler on your gixxer. I just got through cutting that bar underneath off today because it went right through my oil filter. Which put nice stuff in the engine. Only reason I have it is because it came with the bike. No design is perfect, but if I'm back with another one it's going to be F.I. I've seen the new Chromoly Cages take a beating.

That doesn't look like the FI cage I have. The side bar and bolt is on the outside of that little piece of metal that has threads in it. Just wondering.....
