Swaping Master Cylinder

Has anyone swaped their front master cylinder on their bike with one from another bike to increase braking performance? I have heard of guys switching the rear and comming out ahead. My F3's brakes just aren't doin' it for me....Takes way too much lever effert to rip up an endo. Was thinking of a 929 or 954 mastercylinder....maybe even GSXR10000....or anything with bad *** brakes. If you have done it, what master cylinder did you use? How did it turn out? Or anyone have a mastercylinder that they want to part with holler at me.

Re: Swaping Master Cylinder

I put a front master cylinder on and F3 that I got off of an 02 gsxr 600 and the brakes were 100 times better. Go for it.. Thats a good mod. BTW, the mastercylinder on all the gixxers are the same, its the calipers that are different.

I put ss lines and didn't notice much of a difference....but F3 brakes aren't the best around.

Re: Swaping Master Cylinder

had a 929 one on my f3 worked good till it took a **** on me and then i grabed one off a sv650 that i was parting out and it worked almost as good only thing i like about the sv one is that the part that holds the fluid was metal so when i did highchair stuff it would break it
