Damn, I busted a friends Telefonica once trying some long stopies. Luckily I was very close to the end and just lost it sending us both over right at the end..... hurt my pride more than anything.

I was pretty much the ham, and the bike and concrete were the bread...only thing it did was slightly bend my upper fairing stay.

Re: Stoppie Injuries

I got my leg pinned to the curb with the passenger peg digging into my calf. Dragged me for a bit and wore my shin down some, like the bone got sanded. That hurt.

Flipped a highchair stoppie at about 50mph. I hit the ground on my right side, the bike landed on my left side and broke my collarbone. Also got a couple minor spots of rash from it. Don't ever want to break another collarbone!

Mine was a highchair endoe too, but I tried to jump off to one side when the front tire hit a curb. I got wobbled over, couldn't recover; wa wobling too much to set it down, so I tried to bail. I got away except for my right leg, and I was only going like 35. My brother broke his collar bone playing around, he didn't make it look very fun, he had to sleep sitting up for a while.

Re: Stoppie Injuries

I started one at about 65, at about 25 (thank god) it started tank slapping and threw me off to the left. Dislocated my shoulder and rashed up my left leg . . . took about a 15 min break and tried it again . . . :YEAH

Re: Stoppie Injuries

Don't know if this counts..

Hit one up on the TTR125 pegged out in 5th (50-55mph). Friend on an xr50 turned right in front on me as I was on my way up. All I remember is looking down at his face... I'll never forget that look... Slammed him hard then the ground even harder. No helmet of course. Injuries: Concussion(the kind where you don't remember what just happened 10 mins. after it happened), rash on the face, a nice shiner, 3 dislocated fingers, hyperextended hand. I couldn't ride at all because of my hand for about 2 months. I'm finally back now...able to do my thing. I thought I might be scared of stoppies... didn't let it get to me though.. 280 ft on the TTR ain't too shabby! too bad I can't do that on the 929

hey matt, I flipped about 20 of them a couple of weekends ago. You'll know the point when it's not coming back, (right about when you headlights about to drag, lol). I just leaped off (kind of like jumping as hard as you can)the pegs to try and get out of the way of the bike.
Word from the Old and wish, land flat, or it'll get rough on the ol hips.

Re: Stoppie Injuries

I looped a no-footed endo and the bike landed right on top of me. I ended up bruising my elbow and breaking my foot. The worst part was I was laying on the ground pretty much saying "WTF" and all my boys were just standing around me, waiting for the bike to magically pick itself up. Other than the elbow and the broken foot, the exhaust was laying against my leg so that got a little warm. Speaking of other crazy things happening, I crash doing a no footed endo, but May last year, I am doing about 50 MPH down the road and there's a deer standing in the middle of the road. I went on the shoulder to get away from it, and sure enough, the a-hole ran in my direction. No BullS^&* I left about a 10 foot patch of rubber from my front tire. I didn't slow down until I was about 15 feet away, I figured I would just speed past it and the noise would scare it away... So I hit the retarded bambi at 50, came to an immediate stop and did just about a 6 O' Clock. The deer got shot up into the air and landed to my left. The craziest part is, I didn't even crash. I endoed and the back tire came right back down, and just stopped. Even when the cops got there, he asked me if I needed an ambulance and I told him I was fine, he walked around the bike and asked how bad I crashed. When I told him I was fine, There was no scratches, but I just about destroyed everything on the front of my bike, bent the rotors and the rim, all the front plastics, front fender, dented my oil cooler, but never laid the bike down. Craziest thing that's ever happened.
