Re: Which damper do u prefer.....
Why didnt you like the Scotts? Are the ones that mount easy on top of the triple clamp not as good(ex. scotts & GPR units)? Are the ohlins style type better to go with? ~nick

For street and racing Scotts, easy and more adjustments, good mounting position
For stoppies i really like the Toby. Rod types feel better for stoppies (less slop maybe?!?!) and because of the stock mounting position they are pretty good at avoiding damage.

I use a "Sprint". Works perfect.
But heres the deal with dampers........Nobody (racers and street riders) run their dampers anywhere near as tight as we run them for stoppies.....therefor they are not built for what we do.......what I mean is, they usually have a little bit of air in them straight from the factory (air that compresses under pressure = play in the damper). You usually have a to rebuild a damper when its brand new just to take the air out that comes from the factory build.
Once I did this to my Sprint.....it was absolutely perfect, and they are much cheaper than the others, adn you dont have to send them away to get rebuilt.

Re: Which damper do u prefer.....
Here's the down low on the GPR!!!!!!!! They now as of a week ago they make a 'stuntr' damper. they don't officialy call it that but what it is, is a stainlessteel internals for strength, with super heavy oil, and a crazy wide adjustability ****. Hit them up, talk to Jeff Norman (owner) and tell them to set u up with the U.S. Stunt Riders setup, they'll know and hook u or anyone else up fat. plus if ur a bling-bling stuntr they can mix up all there crazy anodized colors for u (red,blue,orange,green,black,purple...all kinds of dope ****)

Re: Which damper do u prefer.....
parts411.com has good prices w/ dampers, as long w/ everything else. I didnt see any sprint dampers on the site though. Maybe they can get you one though. ~nick
