My friend has a 96 900rr with 5 gears instead of 6 and sprockets. He said he can't wheelie in 3rd, but he's new to this. I told him that i've heard that people wheelie in 3rd on 600's. I think u just have to shift it and hold ur balance use throttle when needed. Am i right or wrong? If so how do u wheelie a 600 so I can show him when he comes over.

 

I can wheelie in 3rd on a 600 and I'm not even that good. I can get my buddies GSXR 600 up with ease. Tell him to give it a little bounce and some clutch and it'll jump up easy.

 

on my 03 R6 i just bring it up to around 9-10k rpms. and then just stand up and let off the throttle while bouncing the front end. and then throttle hard when it comes up. once i get to balance piont. i just modulate the throttle to keep it there.
but its prety damn fast. close to 180km/h. gets a little wobbly if there is a wind.

I remember a while back JoJo was saying that it is imposible but I have goten a 600 up in third before. You just have to clutch it and pull up.

 

1st- its definatly possible expecially with the newer 600's like f4i's.
2nd-my friend has a 900rr with 5 gears instead of 6 and cannot wheelie in 3rd. can a 600? first a 900 is a 900CC bike mebbe your just using it as an example of if a 900 cant then no way a 600 can.
3rd-with gearing anything is possible. i've seen guys pick up going over 100 mphs and ride them out to even faster. with enough gears you can pick up in 6th on a 250 that would be the old 13T and 66T

 

ive gotten my f4i up in 4th with stock gear in california and 3rd here in new mexico elevation 5000 feet.

I should post a video of me bringing my F4 up in 6th on the highway! My buddy could ride next to me on his '02 R6 and do the same.

u dont have to clutch it up. but im sure if u r good on the clutch it would help. in 4th u definately need clutch

Yup, did it on my boys 03 R6 stock gearing. too too fast tho'

 

I had a SV650S and that has way less power than the 600s and I pulled wheelies up on it like nothing in 3rd gear. I was able to shift into 4th to.

 

I've got an 03 R6, i just began riding last july and i can get third up no problem. just stand up and use the clutch, you don't need to be going that fast, if your going 65-70 it works the best.

 

I can get my gsxr 6 up in 4th with no clucth and stock gearing I guess It help to have 220 pounds to throw around

 

My boy has a stock F4i and gets his up in third.. Hes usually doing over 75mph, and bounces it twice to get the front end to come up after dumping the clutch at about 10k or so.. Its all about the bounce and dump timing..

 

I think I would have to see that one to beleive it..
