stock gearing 03 r6...NO clutch 3rd gear stand up (bounce) no problem....its not the bike..its the rider. if you have great tecknique....you can do it in 4th 5th with stock gear...i have seen that.

no problems on my 03 600RR when it had stock gearing.
then went down one and up three...much more fun now!!!

yep...I can also get my gixxer 6 hun up in 3rd. slow it down though...3rd is a little fast!

I used to pull my F3 in third but I had a little gear to help me out bounce it once and clutch the ever living rev limiter hitting **** out of it and it would come up no problem.

been there, looped that.....used to stand my zx6r up in 3rd. just be carefull and cover your back break because there is no engine break when you let off the throttle in 3rd.

Seriously, bringing it up in third ain't no thang w/ some practice. Just sack up and learn to use the clutch now if you want to eventually learn more stuff.

when you're cool you'll bring that **** up in 6th and down shift to 3rd in a coaster

Thanks for the replys guys. I thought i was right but he said no way. Were both new to riding streetbikes so forgive us. He has a 96 900rr and said that it was hard to wheelie in third but he wasn't clutching it either. His bike could do it without clutching it but he just has to get used to the bike first i think. He hasn't got 1st and 2nd gear wheelies down yet. I told him to chill and he'll get. Thanks again :YEAH

with stock gears you have to be standing, bounce and give it a little clutch. it took me some time to learn how to do this, its a lot to think about and do all at once and get it timed right if your not used to it. in second its just a bounce, its all timming youll get it, be patient. once you do it once its all gravy.

any newer 600 will wheelie in 3rd standing up, easily.
my f4i would do 3rd sitting down. only -1 in front.

I have never heard of a 5 speed cbr900, tell your friend to shift one more time I'm sure it's a 6 speed.
