How Young Is Too Young Too Ride A Bike?

Re: How Young Is Too Young Too Ride A Bike?
depends if you rode anything prior to street. if the rider was into mx, or even bmx, he has a slight advantage and would be able to make the jump quicker. if its a first time rider that wants 2 hop on a street bike...hmm...when he is able to get his drivers license. we don't need any more crossroad accidents due to the kid roaring through intersections.

ok, here's some sound advice, dont get a streetbike when your 16. drive a car for a few years, get used to being on the road with all the idiot drivers out there. Start out on a small bike, not even a 600cc sportbike. you may not believe me, but i really dont think any 16 year old has enough self control or experience to be on a sport bike. This is coming from someone who has many many tickets and accidents prior to even turning 17. I just dont want to see some newly licensed kid hop on a bike and get hurt or even worse. Take it slow, learn the driving ropes, then graduate to a bike. Just be careful, it doesnt matter how good you are, its still dangerous as hell on the street, and the only thing that will keep you alive is common sense and experience.
Get some experience with dirtbikes, the skills you learn there are more valuable than anything once you hit the street. You learn to control a bike that is out of control.
be safe!

Was always a bicycle geek, rode a moped when I was ten years old, was turning into a bad boy, hell I was there hanging out with a mechanic everyday anyways and he made me do all the ****ing work, and he let me ride every type of small bike possible, then at 12 I finally got to ride a street bike, then I took off riding there, fixing peoples **** then taking it for a joyride then I got my own

idk but if I would have gotten a rocket at 16 or 17 i think it is safe to say that I would be dead. Most kids, in my opinion, are NOT responsible enough to be ride a street bike. I think of the crazy **** i did at 16 in a car, I would definatley be dead
