04 R1 honest dyno report, no sprockets needed...

Re: 04 R1 honest dyno report, no sprockets needed...
I have a stock 03' Gixxer 1000. Stock everything except the front pads (gixxer brakes blow). I wouldn't go as far as saying you couldn't possibly need more power, but I can tell you I don't. Stupid fast. Still impresses me. Second gear, knee down, open throttle almost high-sided me off the bike. Too much power for (warm)street tires. I'll bet 75% of all 04' 1000's will have "chicken strips" for the first couple thousand miles. Stupid, silly power. Someone's trying to kill us all off.

No changes on 04' gixxer except paint. Absolutely not can you stunt the new R1. It says so in the manual and your salesman will probably go over that too. Yamaha has released the R1 in the U.K. as the "unstuntable" bike for 04'...Apparently stunting is a problem over there too. There is a mercury switch that disables spark to alternate cylinders in the event the front tire comes off the ground. The front brake lever has valving that sucks air into the lines if the back tire lifts 3" off the ground to protect the rider from flipping. Crazy designs, all state-of-the-art.

I didnt get to rip on it but after riding my geared stuntbike for so long the R1 felt like it would do 100mph in 1st gear.

BTW I have access to a program that remaps the sensor routers on the poppawheeliebypass valve that will allow you to stunt this new R1. Please contact me. The mods will cost $100 and you must bring the bike to me and leave it w/ me for 4 hours. When you return disreguard the scratches and blad tires (and the fact that it all of a sudden looks like an 02 gsxr) since that is all part of the reprogramming.

well lets. torque is what makes you move, plain and simple, torque is the power to rotate something. you will get more rotation will less mass, no secret here. did you learn that in 600cc 101. the smaller something is the faster is can rotate.
still we need to see a non-biast test on all the new bikes to see who's right.
BUT WHO CARES, JUST F***ING RIDE YOUR BIKE.
please don't test me on engines

they wanted over 1500 for high speed access for the show and cell
phone reception wasn't great.
The stock and "NEW" bikes are dyno'ing at 158-162 range
consitantly... The bike has extremely tight piston ring tolerances
(reliability and longer lasting engines is the reason), after the
break in and things loosen up 162 is being seen consistently..! The
full graves systems are putting a solid 10 HP above the stock
settings.. leaving the full system and pc3 usb'd 04's dropping solid
168-172 rear wheel numbers .. The mid-range on the slip on is similar
to the full system in the power band but after that it's a solid GAIN
over the slip ons (slip ons are putting up around 5-6 hp over stock)..
