In Memory of the Stunters No Longer With Us...
#22
In loving memory of "Wheelie Wade" Rustad(20yrs old), lost his life after coming down from a stand-up wheelie into a tank slapper and then into a steel lightpole. He didn't feel a thing.
All the riders in the Minneapolis area miss you deeply and will remember you always
Love ya Wade!

p.s. and to my fallen friend Zippy who crashed bad last Nov and was about 5 minutes away from losing his life, and he will probably never ride again. Love you too Zip!

-baker- that vid was amazing. it really left me speachless.

I am not a rider, but I have been involved with stunting one way or another for a while. I was not fortunate enough to know...

Very well, but my brother and a lot of the Akron riders rode with him a lot. I was very impressed with how the stunt community pulled together to show his family support after his death.
For the ones out there who are still vertical, be safe guys , and gals, and keep the headlight pointing up!

when i was in columbus ohio riding for 2x, my old teammate and i were riding on the street and met up with some other local riders from columbus, they did not stunt , but were huge fans of us, we rode with them all day, around 7 ish , paul and i decided to head home to shower and get ready to ride that nite, we got a phone call from andy of 2X, our biggest fan shaun, who was the one riding with us all day was just killed going through corners too fast, andy of 2x saw it happen, as he was waiting for them to catch up, he stood there helpless and had to watch shaun pass, a week later they had a memorial at Quaker Steak & Lube, which held the wednesday nite bike nite, i ran into an old business partner who was also a big fan of us, he was shaun's best friend, paul and i had crossed paths with shaun numerous times, but never knew his name, but he knew who we were, Tom, my friend, told me that shaun had called him before he died, bragging about how he had just ridden with paul and ryan from 2xtreme all day , and was gloating to tom about it, tom who was a fan but also knew how dangerous it was to try and keep up with us on the freeways had warned shaun to just watch and not try to keep up with us, unfortunately he did not take his advice, he took the corner too fast trying to pass a car from the outside and hit a tree at over 100 mph, it was then that after tom had told me this that i realized that people watch our every move and that we do have fans out there who so badly want to be like us and hang out with us, it is to this day that i ALLWAYS talk to fans or at least take the time to say hi, cause you dont realize what impact you have on people till something like that happens. sorry the story was so long, but i know this guy is resting in peace and condolences to his family and his 1 yr old son.

I wasn't going to post, but Baker, that video was moving, and now would like to say a little something.
R.I.P. Mark (aka M.O. Dot) I only knew mark for about a year, but in that time he truely touched me. He had a personality that was never anything but happy, he made everyday and everything more fun (I will never forget Wildwood for as long as i live). He will be heart wrenchingly missed everyday, but will be be with us everytime we ride. Mark left me with one thing that i can never lose, and that is, anytime i feel sad or bad in any way, all i need to do is think about him and how he would make the best of it and smile and be happy, and that will ALWAYS bring a smile to my face too. Thank you Mark!

R.I.P Jody Masson,
Jody was one of those people that was always smiling and full of life, well taking one of our friend’s new bike out for a test ride he pulled a Wheelie and lost control and hit a tree killing him instantly. Jody was 21 years old, he and his g/f had just given birth to a beautiful baby girl.
I was out of town for his funeral but would like to tell him he and his family that they will always be in my hart.

Baker,
dude, um, whoa, wow... awesome video. gave me the goose bumps all over.
for all of us that have lost people that little face is supposed to represent all of us pouring out a drink or a sip for the ones that have passed.
