FI cage on 929, question about?

Re: FI cage on 929, question about?
I dunno about all that. I'd run em. I have (and this is f'n crazy) personally witnessed the delron tips on the FI cage actually split the the metal slider in two. It happened on a slow apehanger that got sideways. Those kinds of wrecks just break things, and there is not a damn thing you can do about it... but who would think a piece of plastic would split steel or chromoly or whatever in two. The slider split on both sides right down the middle, it didnt bend, it just split. I am not saying the FI sliders are weak, just that it was an oddity. Like when pieces of straw are stabbed into wood during tornados.. its just fsckin strange.
The only reason I could think that you wouldnt want to run em is that the longer a slider is, the more prone it will be to bending or folding.
and btw, that happened on a 929.

i run them on mine. if you remove them, it takes away the leverage so technically it won't put as much stress on your enigine mounts, but oh well. if the creator of that cage runs them and everyone i know does, then might as well run them how the cage is built.
