12 bar on an f3

can anyone tell me a good spot to mount a 12 bar on a honda f3? at the very end of the subframe there is two holes stock. that is where i put mine and it lasted about 2 weeks. subframe never broke[thank god, it is not detachable from the frame], but bent right at the end where the subframe forks together. i'm welding all these supports on the subframe under the seat right now, but there has got to be a better place or tecnique to use. help would be cool. got to get it right before daytona. thanks

I made my own 12 bar and mounted it in those two holes plus the hole that is used to secure the seat. Since the subframe is steel I welded an extra nut behind the threaded holes on the subframe to strengthen them. I have hit hard a few times and nothing has broke. I attached some pictures...hope they work and hope it helps.

Re: 12 bar on an f3

when i had my f2, i took one inch "c" notch steel and welded it to the top bar going out. i went like 5 inches past where the lower bar meets the top bar, 5 inches past where the two pieces are welding towards the tank. then i mildly had to cut the plastic, they went back on good, kinda hard to explain but look at this ........ [O looking from the back, the o is the frame and [ is the steel i used.

hope this helps, it helped me, cuz i was banging the sheot outta the bar at first and nothing bent

Yeah that was two pieces that I weled together....a little different looking but worked well....I didn't want to mangle my tail fairings so that was the solution.

It's a 12 bar if I don't let out tire pressure...one thing I forgot to take into account when making it.

Damn straight I'm going to Flordia!
