Re: Making or Buying a 12 Bar

just buy two pieces of flat steel like 1' 1/2 wide 1/4' thick and somthin thicker to drag on, bolt it to your subrame, sorry thats kind of a lame response but my brother is a welder by profession, if you know any welders just go up to them and say, "im gonna put a bar here, needs to be strong enough to stand up to some abuse, its gotta bolt to this, heres 50 bucks gett er done!" if you know someone experienced it will be easy, my bro made one in half an hour for my buddy, just dont forget to air down and stand your bike up to get the angle right, if you got extra people around it would help to get your weight on the bike too.

Re: Making or Buying a 12 Bar

I work in an auto body shop and i've made like 6-7 bars now raning from fiddys to kx125 to a gixxer1k. the only one that has broke now is the damn fiddy :P and its broken 2 times :P but i dont think the guy really knows how to do it well so i think hes just popping it over and slamming it down alot its really not that hard just make sure you use some good quality exhaust clamps and you make it attach in MANY places to your subframe.
