i'd say just disconnect it.
does yours even work that great? mine never shuts it off on my 929 and my frined looped his 03 gixxer 1000 in a parking lot and his slid across hte parking lot after flipping on top of him and it was still going so i guess his doesn't work either.

Hey, what you got to do is, there should be 4 little screws holding it together. Take them out and it will come apart, when you got it apart you will see a little ring in there that slids around just cut that ring off and put it back togethere. That is how i did it on my gsxr 600.www.stuntkingz.com

You can also remove it and put a small resistor in line where it was it'll be good. Not sure the exact resistor to use but if you pm DigityPBR and tell him I sent ya he should be able to help ya out. Also might pm Jay SOI, I know he rocks a 03 now.
