929 cage mount question
why doesnt anyone use the front and rear motor mounts to mount the cage, all of em i look at just use the front, is the rear weak or is it cause you would have to cut the fairings or what??? i think the added strength of another mounting point would help out

We use four points on the frame to mount our cages, you have to be careful not to make a cage to rigid because you can cause the frame of the bike to crack or break. Strong is great but you also have to design it to wear it will distribute the impact in a way to cause minimal damage as well as not to interfere with the rider. FI cages are now made from .156 wall 4130 chromolly tubing for strength, impact distribution, and the thicker wall will allow the rider to grind on it for a long time before he or she could wear through.
